Oliver's Lecture Series

So You Thought Falling Asleep in the Afternoon was Part of Getting Older?

with Catherine Attfield Wednesday 8 October 2008, 7.30pm

The majority of diseases or illnesses one expects to get in old age such as hypertension, heart disease, diabetes, osteoarthritis and several forms of cancer – as well as the minor ailments and minor “diseases” such as lack of energy, fatigue and falling asleep in the afternoon, are not, as often thought, the inevitable outcomes of advancing age. Oliver’s Nutritional Therapist Catherine Attfield takes you through a fascinating journey of discovery about ageing. This talk will appeal to anyone interested in the ageing process and how simple diet and lifestyle changes can help prevent and manage many illnesses as we get older (as well as falling asleep in the afternoon).

Catherine trained at the Institute for Optimum Nutrition, graduating in 2006 with distinction and has worked at Oliver’s Therapy Rooms for 2 years as their Nutritional Therapist. She is a member of BANT and accredited by The Nutritional Therapy Council.
