Acupuncture
1st Appt - 1 hr £55
Follow-ups - 45 mins £45

The principle aim of acupuncture is to restore the equilibrium between the physical, emotional and spiritual aspects of the individual. According to traditional Chinese philosophy, our health is dependent on the body’s motivating energy known as Qi which moves through a series of channels beneath your skin. When this Qi is unbalanced, illness may result. The flow of Qi can be disturbed by a number of factors, including emotional states such as anxiety,
stress, anger, fear or grief, poor nutrition, weather conditions, hereditary factors, infections, poisons and trauma. By inserting fine needles into these channels of energy, an acupuncturist can stimulate your body’s own healing response and can help restore its natural balance.

When used as an adjunct to cognitive and behavioural psychotherapies it is known as Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy (CBH). patterns, which results in a healthier state of emotional well-being.

Kinesiology

Treatment may include acupressure, light touch, nutrition, gentle manipulation, Bach (or other)flower remedies and/or energy balancing.

The approach comes from a naturopathic point of view which sees the patient as an individual, taking into account their environment and total well-being. Common complaints most often helped by nutritional therapy are pain, stress, fatigue, irritability and tiredness, digestive disorders, food sensitivities, allergies, and hormonal imbalances such as PMS and infertility. Nutritional therapy can identify current nutritional issues and deficiencies using an in-depth questionnaire and biochemical tests if required.

Osteopathy
1st Appt 1 hr 30 mins £45
Follow ups 1 hr £45

Osteopaths believe that the body has an innate capacity to heal itself. Easy breathing, unimpeded circulation of blood and lymph and uninterrupted transmission of nerve impulses are fundamental to good health. Our osteopath works with the body to find its position of ease. From this position, the body is then able to correct its own stresses and strains and reestablish balance. The approach is very gentle. Many conditions respond well to osteopathic treatment, these include stress related tension and headaches, back and neck pain, frozen shoulder, carpeltunnel syndrome, joint and arthritic pain, irritable bowel syndrome, cramp and minor circulatory problems.

Holistic Psychotherapy
1 hr £70

Holistic psychotherapy considers the whole individual in their present context. It does not follow any one theoretical school exclusively but is guided by the difficulties, goals and needs of each client. It offers clients an individually tailored course of therapy from humanistic/existential, psychoanalytic and cognitive/behavioural therapy perspectives. This approach can help with contemporary problem solving, major life transitions and other day-today problems in living such as mood disorders, addictions, relationships and crisis management. Work is offered to individuals and couples on short or long term bases, and support groups are offered for individuals living with infertility issues and cancer.

Reflexology
1hr £50

Reflexology is a holistic and complementary therapy based on the concept that all the major systems and organs of the body are mirrored on the feet. The therapist works on these reflex points with her thumbs and fingers using controlled pressure. Imbalances, congestion and tension can be detected in the
corresponding parts of the body. This safe and gentle treatment encourages the body to heal itself and restore its balance. People have also found it effective in stimulating healing after trauma or injury, thus aiding a quicker recovery. This therapy works well with other forms of medicine and has been shown to be effective for stress-related conditions, digestive disorders,
IBS, hormonal imbalances, infertility, migraine, back pain, sleep disorders, arthritis, sports injuries and more.
